唐獎得主統計資料出爐 來自21所世界名校 哈佛以2成6居冠

2012年由潤泰集團尹衍樑博士創立的唐獎,今年6月剛評選出第六屆得獎人,面對廿一世紀挑戰,唐奬以永續發展為主體,過去12年,每屆評選委員會(由世界頂尖學者、專家組成) 從得主的創新、貢獻及影響力等面向,透過專業、公正、獨立的嚴格評選過程,合計選出39位唐獎得主(含3個非政府組織),已經塑定為兼顧自然及社會科學,重視人文的世界大獎。

 

統計歷屆唐獎得主的服務單位及畢業學校,大致均出自世界排名前百大的學術機構,其中,來自哈佛大學共有10位居冠,耶魯大學5位排名第二,牛津大學、加州大學柏克萊分校、加州大學聖地牙哥分校UCSD、哥倫比亞大學等四校均為4位,緊追在後,排名第三,劍橋大學3位排名第四,大阪大學2位排名第五,各有一位的還包括麻省理工學院、波士頓大學、加州大學洛杉磯分校UCLA、匹茲堡大學、蒙特婁大學、倫敦大學、哥本哈根大學、德國Max Planck Institute、台灣大學、京都大學、東京大學、新加坡大學、墨爾本大學等21所世界名校。

 

哈佛大學不但獲奬得主最多,獎項分布也很多元,永續發展、生技醫藥及漢學獎均有人獲獎;耶魯大學除了永續發展獎外,生技醫藥獎、漢學獎及法治獎等其他三獎項均有人獲獎;哥倫比亞大學及柏克萊大學均在永續發展獎方面表現優異。

 

在性別方面,10位女性唐獎得主佔個人得主比例更高達28%,遠高於諾貝爾獎的6%。另外,值得一提是過去五屆唐獎生技醫藥獎得主中,有三屆幾年後再榮獲諾貝爾獎肯定。作為創立僅12年的世界大獎,唐獎的高度聲譽已不言而喻。

 

進一步分析唐獎四大獎項得主資料,永續發展奬以哈佛大學、耶魯大學、柏克萊大學等為優。在生技醫藥獎方面,以哈佛大學最優,但UC San Diego、牛津大學、賓州大學等也表現優異;漢學奬得主分佈較廣,以哈佛大學、耶魯大學為優,其他包括哥倫比亞大學、牛津大學、倫敦大學、東京大學、大阪大學、新加坡大學及2024得主許倬雲院士所畢業及從事教職的台灣大學等亦有傑出成績。法治獎項亦較為平均分佈,哈佛大學、耶魯大學、哥倫比亞大學、加拿大蒙特婁大學、牛津大學、愛爾蘭都柏林大學、澳洲墨爾本大學均有一位得主。

 

不侷限於先進學術機構,共同榮獲2020唐獎法治奬的三個非政府組織,包括黎巴嫩的「法律實踐進程(The Legal Agenda)」、孟加拉的「環境法律人協會(BELA)」及哥倫比亞的「實現正義: 法律、正義暨社會中心 (Dejusticia)」,唐獎表彰其致力公眾教育以及公共倡議,有效推動法治進程,改善法治機制;他們擅於取法堅實的學理研究,靈活運用富有創意的司法策略,在法治基礎遭受嚴峻挑戰的艱困地區環境,為爭取個人、社會與環境正義,堅持不懈,立下典範,影響重大。也因為他們,將唐獎聲譽帶至中東、東南亞及南美地區,2020年唐獎頒獎典禮的臉書點閱數超過62萬次。

 

關於唐獎

有感於全球化的進展,人類在享受文明與科技帶來便利的同時,亦面臨氣候變遷、新傳染疫病、貧富差距、社會道德式微..等種種考驗,尹衍樑博士於2012年12月成立唐獎,設立永續發展、生技醫藥、漢學及法治四大獎項,每兩年由專業獨立評選委員會(邀聘國際著名專家學者,含多名諾貝爾獎得主),不分種族、國籍、性別,遴選出對世界具有創新實質貢獻及影響力的得主。每獎項提供5千萬獎金,其中含1千萬支持相關研究教育計畫,以鼓勵世人投入探索21世紀人類所需,以頂尖的創新研究成果及社會實踐引領全人類發展。
