The scholarship aims to support doctoral students in humanities with a focus on Sinology who have obtained Ph.D. candidacy. It enables them to conduct visiting research at academic institutions other than their enrolled universities, broadening their perspectives and laying a solid foundation for future research work.

The project is envisioned as a collaborative venture of both established experts and young scholars and as an opportunity for graduate students to gain practical experience in academic teamwork. The collaboration should be facilitated by workshops, and the research results published in the form of a peer-reviewed edited volume with a major academic publisher.

Award of scholarship to support 12 deserving Master’s candidates in 5 years from Academic Year (AY) 2021 to 2025.
