The Chinese (Taiwan) Society of International Law (CSIL), the International Law Association (ILA), the American Society of International Law (ASIL), and the National Chengchi University Research Center for International Legal Studies (CILS) jointly held the 2015 ILA-ASIL Asia-Pacific Research Forum at the Regent Hotel in Taipei this May 26. Hosted by CSIL Director Chen Chun-I, the event also held a speech from Taiwan President Ma Ying-Jeou.
 
Special guests at this year’s event included ASIL President Lori Damrosch, ILA Vice-Chair Kamal Hossain, and ILA Honorary Treasurer and ILA-German Branch President Torsten Stein. In all government officials and scholars from 20 countries invited 60 speakers to the event to deliver talks on their research. Over 200 people registered to attend the event.

The Tang Prize was invited to the event to operate a display booth and introduce the prize to the event-goers. On May 27 ASIL President Lori Damrosch, Director Chen Chun-I, and other members of the ILA and ASIL visited the Tang Prize Foundation offices and engaged in a discussion on the prize and its rule of law category.
