Inspired to facilitate interaction among women scientists, especially in the fields of public health and sustainable development, Gro Harlem Brundtland designated half of her Tang Prize Grant to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) for the establishment of the event. “The Tang Prize and Gro Harlem Brundtland provide a starting point for these scientists, the seeds, to spread and grow connections within the field of sustainable development,” says Huey-Jen Jenny Su, President of NCKU.

After the week of symposiums and panels, the event will wrap up in a closing ceremony at the Tang Prize Foundation in Taipei on March 17.
